Who We Are

Team Sports Planet is a multi-channel team sports company. We proudly serve the needs of the athletes, coaches, athletic directors, administrators and parents that make up this vital community.

Our customers are schools, travel teams, recreational teams, clubs and leagues, youth and adult, municipalities, governing associations, affiliates and sanctioning bodies, school districts, independent companies and all levels of government, including the United States’ Department of Defense Education Activity.

Our customers are located throughout the world and our offices, design and production facilities are based in and around Philadelphia, PA.We offer high quality team sports products and services at competitive prices. Most importantly and appropriately, we operate our company as a team.

Where We Came From

Team Sports Planet began as the dream of co-founders Kari Altman and Brian Kerrigan. After getting their first taste of the possibilities of internet business while living in NYC and LA in the late ‘90s, they decided to move back to their hometown of Philadelphia, PA in 2001 to start a company then known as Youth Sports Planet.  They saw a unique opportunity to leverage the Internet to help busy parents, coaches, and administrators outfit their players in great looking uniforms at competitive prices with outstanding customer service.

As teams returned season after season and word spread, the scope of the company expanded to include players of all ages and the name was changed to Team Sports Planet. Now a global company with regular customers on four continents, we strive to combine the selection and value of a large internet company with the personal touch of your local shop.

What We’ve Accomplished

Team Sports Planet’s extraordinary growth has won both regional and national awards. We have been featured in Inc. Magazine’s “Fastest Growing Companies,” while at the same time managing to remain family owned and operated.  Twice named one of the “Philly 100,” TSP also received the Department of Defense Education Activity contract award in 2009 and again in 2014, in addition to being a proud small business GSA contractor since 2013. Our greatest claim to fame is the over 15,000 teams that we have helped to pursue their athletic goals.

Brian Kerrigan
Brian KerriganOwner, CEO
Brian was captain of his school football team and went on to play at Susquehanna University before his playing days were cut short by injury. Upon graduating, he got involved in computers and then the internet, with some sales experience with the LA Lakers thrown in between. His interest in sports, computers and the Internet reached its apex in the co-founding of Team Sports Planet.
Kari Altman
Kari AltmanOwner, CEO
Growing up, Kari was a fierce, multi-sport competitor, with tennis and softball –a pitcher, go figure– being her strengths. Volleyball games at family cookouts, to this day, are tooth & nail events. That innate competitiveness has infused her professional life as well and, no doubt, played a significant role in her co-founding and leading the daily charge at Team Sports Planet.
Terri Broyles
Terri BroylesSales Manager
Terri played volleyball and lacrosse growing up just outside Philadelphia. Her ambidextrous abilities play a key role in her successes both on and off the field. She is a lifelong hockey fan loving Philadelphia’s own “Broad Street Bullies.” These days she also enjoys watching her kids play soccer and tee ball. She is an avid crock pot cooker and loves Hallmark Channel Holiday movies more than anyone else we know. She dreams of someday getting to visit all the places in the world that she gets to talk to on a daily basis in helping our teams at international destinations.
Sam Sherburne
Sam SherburneAccount Manager
Sam is a mediocre fantasy football player, 76ers true believer, and Simpsons trivia master. He likes old school uniforms and new school statistics.
Sonia Martin
Sonia MartinAssociate Account Manager
Sonia is from small-town Ohio but loves living in Philly. She’s been running since she was 12, more out of love for it than talent. She usually adores her 3 energetic children and is a big believer in the importance of team sports for kids. The one sport the whole family can agree on playing and watching together is soccer, and they can’t wait until World Cup 2018.
Natalie DeVicaris
Natalie DeVicarisProduct Development Director
Natalie was a power elite out in center field, proudly donning #7 then, holding office at home as #1 boss now. Although she is often under the influence of Judge Judy, she still has a major crush on the our Operations Manager. At her 10 year mark of employment here, she and her husband welcomed their second child into this world.
Nina Jablonski
Nina JablonskiArt Director
Nina is a culinary explorer, avid clay slinger, and loves hula-hooping (occasionally with fire.) She will always be a life-long “STILLERS” fan, even in the city of Brotherly Love.
Aron Salas
Aron SalasGraphic Designer
Aron is a proud Philly guy through and through, which means you know he’s a true fan, even when going through more downs than ups. He doesn’t play well with bandwagon fans or any others, (especially divisional rivals.)
Andy DeVicaris
Andy DeVicarisShipping and Receiving Manager
Andy was born and raised in Quakertown, PA and has lived in Philly since 1999. In addition to the City of Brotherly Love, he loves the Phillies, NASCAR, skiing, and anything remote control, especially helicopters. He also enjoys beer.
Patrick McGee
Patrick McGeeAssociate Account Manager
Patrick was born and raised in Philadelphia, so he bleeds green. He remembers sitting in Veterans Stadium with his father watching the Eagles lose yet another game, but their recent Super Bowl win has (mostly) erased that pain. Patrick grew up playing football, hockey and soccer (both indoor and outdoor) and is eagerly looking forward to the World Cup. He is also an avid runner and has competed in a number of shorter races and a handful of half marathons. His favorite food are pizza and ice cream—which is one of the reasons he runs.
Mary Sweeney
Mary SweeneyProduction Manager
Born and raised right outside of Philadelphia in the burbs, Mary always knew she wanted to live and work in the city and here she is at twenty four, finally making it happen. Mary grew up playing every sport that she could get herself into eventually ending her “sports career” as a swimmer and also coaching a local swim team the past couple years. On her time off, you can find her basking in the sun or covered in paint while working on her latest masterpiece … until next time and, uh, go birds!
