If you travel over to the facebook page belonging to South DeKalb Tribe, you’ll read all about how this baseball team is giving back to their community. One of their key attributes is to support those around them by participating in events like the 2nd Annual Holiday Giveback. (Click here for their Facebook page.)
2nd Annual Holiday Giveback
On Friday, December 1st 2017, South DeKalb Tribe gave back to their Georgia community by providing clothing and hygiene products to the homeless in downtown Atlanta. They pulled this off by collecting monetary donations through a Go Fund Me page (currently raising over $1,400) and asked that each player on the team donate at least two items. Through the support of South DeKalb Tribe’s family, friends and sponsors, they were able to pass out hundreds of underwear, thermal sets, socks, gloves and tons of items most of us might take for granted.

Breakfast at Fletcher’s Toy Drive
This coming Saturday night, you’ll find the South DeKalb Tribe baseball squad celebrating the happiest time of the year with their family, friends and supporters. But before their Christmas party fundraiser kicks off, they will be spreading some holiday cheer by supplying gifts for children in need during their early morning toy drive. These kids have definitely been good all year, if we don’t say it so ourselves. Fingers crossed the big jolly fellow shows up for breakfast!
South DeKalb Tribe in the Spirit
Here at Team Sports Planet, we all know very well about team spirit. And how it not only brings a team and their family together, but helps in aiding funds. And what better way to do so, during the jolliest time of the year, than to be reminded of what you belong to by glancing over at your tree to see a South DeKalb Tribe Christmas ball. We love this idea!!
